Reigning league champions’ hunt for DR Congolese born players doesn’t seem to come to end soon as the club unveils a sixth one in less than five months.
Robert Serge Mwenge is the latest addition to the Venoms squad joining compatriots Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Osomba, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo, Rodriguez Shamamba and Darcy Mbaka Kipoyi.
Mwenge whose profile is scanty featured for AS Vita Club and Saint Loi Lupopo among other clubs according Vipers’ official website.
He is the third signing at the club ahead of the second round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and the Caf Champions League group stages.
The club who unveiled a new coach on Tuesday have already secured the services of Martin Kizza and Karim Ndugwa.
The signings send a signal to the players signed in the primary window that haven’t come to the party in the first round that saw the club struggle to stamp their authority in the league.
