The Legends night at the MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo - Kampala on 14th January 2023 will have a variety of bouts in boxing and kick-boxing.

The highly billed main bout of the Legends night between Olympian Musa Shadir Bwogi and Police officer Ivan Magumba is only hours to box off.

For starters, this contest will be in the super middle weight category on Saturday, 14th January 2023 at the MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo in Kampala city.

The official weigh-in event prior to this bout and many other fights lined on the undercard was held on the eve, Friday, 13 January 2023 at the New Obliggato Hotel along Bombo road in Kampala.

Bwogi, flanked by his management team (TMB) took to the weighing scale after his opponent Magumba who measured 72Kg.

The Olympian returned a kilogram less (71K g).

“I am here to confirm that my maid is ready to be taken for marriage. I have met the uncles and aunties who asked for sugar, meat, food among other items. I will deliver them and take my maid (Bwogi)” Magumba who came dressed in a traditional Kanzu and his members revealed.

Bwogi answered back and rather strongly.

“There is a package that I will officially unveil on Saturday, the 14th January 2023. Words are spoken but to act is different. I have prepared well to win this contest with comfort. The good thing is that he has come for the weigh-in, let him also turn up in the ring. It will be very easy work, there is no short-cut in professional boxing. In the ring, it will be be war. I have no mercy” Bwogi shot back.

The two fighters will be vying for the national title.

Another national title contest will be in the female gender for the super fly weight (10 rounds) between Swedish fighter Sandra Attermo and Mercy Acayo, a Ugandan.

Undercards:

There are a couple of lined up undercard fights on the night.

John Sserunjogi from Uganda will take on Cisse Muhindo from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Joshua Arthur Male shall face off with Nasifu Ngobi, Moses Mukiibi squares up against Ryan Lawrence while John Katongole will battle Moses Bashir Kakya.

Other bouts:

Abaasi Sseguya will take on Alex Batwawula, Salimat Tibesigwa eyes a contest against Patience Tumwegaze in the female duel, Nasser Bukenya up against John Egesa, Paul Nkyambi Kayemba locks-horns against Emmanuel Wamang, Conrad Sseruyange versus Muzafalu Kazimbwe, Rodgers Ssenyondo against Faluku Luwuliza and Sulaiman Musaalo battling Ben Kyalwazi.

Kickboxing:

There will be two kick-boxing bouts on the legends night.

In the super middle: Bamweyana Kawagga will take on Richard Isaac Olanya from South Sudan whilst Musisi “Breaker Breaker” will face Rajab Fahad from Malawi in the middle-weight cluster.

Entry Fees:

Entry fees to watch these bouts are fixed at 20,000/= (Ordinary), Ug.shs 50,000/= for the ring side (VIP) and Ug.shs 1,000,000/= for every table.
