Favour Danielita Nambatya commenced her semi-professional journey in Rwanda on a bright footing with a brace during her debut.

Nambatya scored twice as her new side Apaer women football club overcame giants Rayon Sports Women football club 3-2 during a build-up duel.

Apaer recovered from two goals down after Zabayo and Mbappe’s 6th and 43rd minute strikes respectively.

Nambatya returned an like an angry and hungry lioness in the final stanza; scoring the first goal in the 54th minute.

She was in the right position and the desired timing to grab the equalizer with twenty minutes to play before Apaer’s winner came from Cynthia in the 87th minute.

Formerly at She Corporate women football club, Nambatya has since celebrated the brave start.

“I thank God for my good start with my new team (Apaer women football club) scoring a brace on my debut in a friendly match against Rayon club. I look forward such performances and I thank my teammates and coaches” Nambatya revealed.

The 21-year-old striker joined the Kigali city-based entity on short term deal from the reigning Uganda Women Super League Champions She Corporate women football club.

Nambatya’s club career has witnessed her feature at Kawempe Muslim Women Football Club, Muteesa Royal University Women Football Club and lately She Corporate Women Football Club.

She has also played for the national senior team, Uganda Crested Cranes.

Last season, Nambatya netted 10 goals in the 2021-2022 FUFA Women Super League, five shy from the two joint top scorers in the league; Fazila Ikwaput and Hasifa Nasuuna.

In the CAF Women Champions League (CECAFA Zone qualifiers), she scored as many as six goals.

For the current 2022-2023 season, she had so far scored two goals in as many games played.

She is also a member of the senior women national team (Crested Cranes) and has earned five international caps.

Nambatya is represented by Livingstone Sports Agency and management.
