Overview:
The 2023 Bandores Scrabble championship successfully climaxed at JICCA hotel in Ntinda, Kampala city with 22 players in contention, pooled in premier and open divisions.

- Winner: Edgar Odongkara (13 ½ wins)
- Second: Ivan Sentongo (12 ½ wins)
- Third: Richard Geria (11 ½ wins)
The 2023 Bandores Scrabble championship successfully climaxed at JICCA hotel in Ntinda, Kampala city.
Edgar Odongkara was victor with a spread +1590 having claimed as many as 13 ½ wins.

Odongkara recorded the least defeats (4 1/2) in the championship that lured as many as 22 players.
Ivan Sentongo was runners up (+772 spread) with 12 ½ wins and 5 ½ defeats.


Veteran player Richard Geria finished third with +1035 spread on 11 ½ wins and 6 ½ losses.
David Kimani (+933 spread) and Sherif Malek (+638 spread) completed the top five positions.
Godwin Murungi was sixth, Isaac Mabinda (7th), Stephen Ssali (8th), Chris Ntege (9th) and Ron Lwebuga in the 10th place


Robin Shawn Atugonza was outstanding student as Phoebe Tibaingana was best female player.
There players were pooled in the premier and open divisions.
Each of the players featured in 18 games played in 18 rounds.


Only three are allocated to Uganda at the 2023 World Scrabble Championships later this year in Las Vegas, United States of America (USA).
