Uganda’s Yasin Nasser will take part in the Kenya national rally season opener as he prepares to get in shape for the 2023 African championship title bid.
The Machakos rally is scheduled for this Sunday in Machakos county. Twenty crews will take part.

The 2019 Uganda rally champion will be giving his newly acquired Ford Fiesta rally2 it’s first full competitive outting.
“The decision to take part in Machakos rally came at the last minute. It is not something we had planned. But the fact that Kenya is on our way to Ivory Coast, the team decided to make a stopover at Machakos.”
“It is a decision we all embraced since I still need a lot of sit time in the Ford and there is still a lot to learn. Obviously, this would work to our advantage ahead of the ARC season opener,” said Yasin Nasser.

The Moil crew will ve in contention with Kenya’s reigning national champion Karan Patel.
Nasser will not have his seasoned co-driver Ali Katumba, instead he will share the cockpit with champion co-driver Joseph Kamya for the Sunday event.
After Machakos rally, the Ugandan crew will embark on the journey to Ivory Coast ahead of the African rally championship season opener slated for 24-26 February.
