The 2023 All Africa Senior Badminton championships in South Africa shuttles off on 13th and will run until the 19th February.

The head coach of Uganda national badminton team Ivan Karimunda has named the team to compete at the 2023 All Africa Senior Badminton championships in South Africa.
The team is composed of ten players; four female and six males.
Vastly experienced players as Shamika Fadilah Mohammed, Husina Kobugabe, Tracy Justine Naluwooza and Gladys Mbabazi are the females.


The male players on the team are; Muzafaru Lubega Brian Kasirye, Kenneth Mwambu, Expendito Emuddu and the skipper Amos Muyanja.
The team has been camped at Ndejje University main campus in Luweero undergoing an intensive residential training regime and head coach Karimunda believes they are ready to battle.
“For the previous two weeks, the team has been at Ndejje University for residential training. They are all physically fit, injury free and ready to give their best at the tournament in South Africa” Karimunda revealed.
South Africa will host this championship that shuttles off on 13th and will climax on the 19th February 2023.

Team captain Muyanja is optimistic that they will return with medals given the experience on the team.
“We have several tried and tested players on the team. Backing on this experience and the team preparations, we shall bring medals” Muyanja vowed.
The team depart for South Africa on Saturday, 11th February 2023 aboard Uganda Airlines.
