Mityana based soccer entity Kiyinda Boys Football Club has a bold motto; “One Team, One Ambition”.

Featuring in the third-tier division of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) pyramid, Kiyinda Boys FC is a member of the Buganda regional league (Katonga group).

They host their home games at the historical Mityana Ssaza ground in Mityana Municipality.

By the half way mark of the 2022-2023 season, Kiyinda Boys is second on the 12 team log with 27 points, two shy from the leaders, Buwambo Boys.

After 11 matches, Kiyinda Boys has scored the most number of goals, 35 and conceded 13, leaving a goal difference of 22 goals.

The club is among the lower division sides still in competition in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, having qualified to the round of 16 stage.

This followed victories over top tier side Gaddafi and Kigezi Home Boyz in the round of 64 and 32 stages respectively.

They had in the preliminary round dumped out Kayunga United 3-1.

The playing docket has proved players as Amuli Mukasa, the tried and tested Steven “Dube” Ssebuufu, Joseph Ssewaali, Henry Kayemba, Godfrey Kakooza, Bright Adoa, former Buddo S.S right back William Ssenoga, Steven Namuwanda, Moses Wafula Mweru, Julius Ssenyonjo (goalkeeper), Charles Okello Batibwe, Kennedys Musoke, Steven Walumu Pancho, among others.

In fact, Mukasa who was skipper of Ssingo in the Buganda Masaza Cup has been on the radar of top clubs in the country as Sports Club Villa, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Express and Wakiso Giants.

Mukasa is tied with Bruno Bunyaga on 8 goals in the Buganda Masaza Cup competition.

“We give our best in training sessions and matches at all times. As players, we give the praise to the management, coaches, sponsors and fans. History will judge us and therefore, we have a lot to offer.” Mukasa discloses to Kawowo Sports Media in an exclusive interview.

Adoa is the current top scorer of the Buganda regional league with 15 goals to his name in 11 matches.

As the second round of the 2022-2023 Buganda Regional League comes knocking, Kiyinda Boys has a mission possible to play “cup final” duels and top the Katonga group with the target of making the promotional play-offs with the champion of Sezibwa group as the FUFA Big League slot is at stake.
