Uganda U-21 men’s Lacrosse national team captain George Ogik commenced marked his senior debut in the United States of America (USA) with a remarkable performance and victory.

California state’s Westcliff University humiliated Cal Poly Humboldt state University 16-02 in a one sided duel.

Ogik contributed to this massive victory with a hat-trick from 8 shots as he scooped the man of the match accolade, crowned with the signed game ball.

After 12 years of grass root development, Ogik is a totally developed local talent from Uganda, a vivid indicator that the players are ready to make actual impressions on the international level.

Ogik was scouted in Ireland and later transferred to United States of America from Uganda in December 2022.

He will complete 3 years of study at the same university and his goal is to return to Uganda to help in the process of building more such talents as his.

Speaking to his U-21 Coach Liberty Twesiime, Ogik retaliated his gratitude to all local coaches committed to developing local players into complete athletes that can compete favorably at the international level.
