This followed the successful completion of the two semi-final duels watched by a mammoth crowd at the same venue on Monday, March 20, 2023.

In the first semi-final clash, record winners Boston High School, Mpala humbled Entebbe Kitoro Lake View 3-0.

Jonathan Kabuye, Joseph Kaihura and Joseph Mucureezi scored the goals for Hussein Mulawa’s coached side.

Kabuye silenced the crowd that rallied behind Entebbe Kitoro Lake View with a strike under the opening 60 seconds of the game, arguably the fastest goal in the competition.

Exciting inverted winger Kaihura added the second as the mandatory half time whistle was signaled with Boston High leading 2-0.

Mucureezi capped the icing on the already baked cake with the third goal, beating an off-side goal before side-stepping the on-rushing goalkeeper to tap into an empty net.

“We had a good start to the game with an early goal. The approach to the game was mature and we deserved to qualify” Mulawa, a former goalkeeper at Entebbe FC in the Uganda Premier League stated.

Four second half goals by Isma Sserungoji (penalty), Fredrick Ssebagala (own goal), Abraham Ejoga and captain Moses Aguta won the day for Peter Nkumbi’s led side.

The opening stanza ended barren with no goal per side despite numerous goal scoring opportunities created by Lake View Kitinda S.S.

Sserugogi broke the resilience of Kasanje High School with a calmly taken penalty after skipper Aguta had been felled in the forbidden area.
