Champions SC Kalele to headline Round of 16 Champions League Night

The Round 16 of the inaugural edition of the schools’ alumni league will roll on with some exciting clashes on the cards.

The schools’ alumni league brings together the best teams from the different schools’ leagues to foster a great sporting relationship among the different school leagues.

The business end of the inaugural edition has four teams from the Ntare Lions League led by the new champions FC Kalele, Nshera, Kafubs and Machando, Kibuli has three teams Sasi, 4z Tazz and Solida, St Henry’s Kitovu has Olympians, Green Cave and Mbaawo while Mbarara High School has two teams Msamiati and Chwezi and Kings College Budo is represented Thazobalo and Monday Law.

Makerere College and Uganda Martyrs Namugongo have one side each Cityzens and Record Breakers respectively.

The action starts at 7 pm and will end late as the teams battle for quarterfinal places.

The biggest tie of the night is the clash between nearly crowned Ntare Lions League champions FC Kalele and Kings College Budo Thazobalo.

The other encounters to look out for include Ntare Lions League Nshera taking on Mbawo from St Mary’s Kitovu, Tazz from Kibuli taking on Msamiati from Budo.

We hope this competition will grow each season and promote a healthy living amongst the alumni of different schools through regular exercise, encourage building of networks beyond our respective former schools circles and perhaps present future sports leaders from our generation.
