Kalisizo Seed School head coach Edrisa Walusimbi believes that his side has the impetus to negotiate past Matale Church of Uganda S.S in the final of the 2023 Kalisizo cluster schools football championship.
The aforementioned final will be played on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Matale Church of Uganda playground.
“We have been working together since the group stages and hope that during the final, we shall give 100 % to win the game and qualify for the district championship” Walusimbi attests.
Kalisizo Seed School made the final grade for the first time since 2012 having successfully won a petition over Kiweewa Foundation.
Kiweewa Foundation had initially won the semi-final duel 1-0 but lost the contest in the boardroom after they found guilty of fielding a non-student.
The other finalist, Matale Church of Uganda edged El Shaddai 1-0 during the last four stage.
The champion will represent Kalisizo cluster to the district level ahead of the Greater Masaka regional championships.
Greater Masaza region will qualify three schools to the 2023 Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) national football championships due to take place in Fort Portal city during the month of May.
