Vipers Sports Club have today morning travelled to Mali for the final group game of CAF Champions League against Horoya AC slated for Friday.

The Venoms who are already out of the competition travelled with a narrow squad of just 17 players.

It should be noted that Horoya AC is s team from Guinea but host their home games in Mali at Stade du 26 Mars, Bamako.

The team left Entebbe International Airport at 2AM and are expected to arrive in Bamako today afternoon.

According to the club website players such as Fabien Mutombora, Siraje Ssentamu and Livingstone Mulondo will not be available due to national team engagements.

Yunus Sentamu, Murushid Juuko, Marvin Youngman and captain Milton Karisa on the other hand are ruled out due to injuries.

However, striker Cromwell Rwothomio is back and travels to Mali after overcoming his personal problems that saw him sit out for two month.

Vipers SC sit bottom of Group C with two points while Horoya who are also out of the competition have four points.

Raja Casablanca (13 points) and Simba from Tanzania (9 points) already progressed to the quarterfinals.
