Ronald Innocent Media bagged a brace on Thursday as Arua Hill overcame Blacks Power at the Barifa Stadium in Arua City.
The youngster who was celebrating his 19th birthday scored a goal in either half to guide the Kongolo to a 2-0 win.
Arua Hill came into today’s game without a league victory this year having lost 3-2 to KCCA FC and 2-0 to Maroons and needed a spirited display to return to winning ways.
Right from on set, the host were dominant with the biggest chance for Blacks Power falling to Mike Siwu but his well taken free kick in the second half was parried away by goalkeeper Richard Anyama.
Media opened the scores in the 28th minute finishing from close range. The goal poacher was well stationed to tap home after Rashid Toha won an aerial contest when Gaddafi Wahab provided a well weighted delivery from a corner kick.
Midway through the second half, Media doubled the lead in scintillating fashion. He rounded off on rushing goalkeeper Emmanuel Odongkara before slotting into the bottom right corner.
Victory takes Arua Hill to fifth place on 226 points while Blacks Power remain second from bottom on 15 points.
