For starters, this tournament will take place on Saturday, 8th April 2023 with an overwhelming number of over 400 players expected.

We expect at least 400 players (so far about 190 are registered) from the different schools as our hosts Shree Sahajanand School Uganda – Bukoto, Frobel, Echoes International, Aga Khan and many others. Chess is an important game in the development of a child’s growth since it helps with creativity, planning, critical thinking cutting across all the subjects. Most of the top performers in schools play the game of chess.

We are so privileged to have such a tournament hosted at our school. We partnered with Dove Chess Academy to have the tournament here. Besides providing the facility, we shall also provide some drinks and all the certificates. I thank the team for the great organization. It will be the best of its kind. As a school, we have registered over 50 participants. We have not come to participate only, but also to compete. We want so many players to excel not only in chess, but also other games as Cricket, Football, Swimming, Badminton and others.
