Overview:

Vipers have scored only two goals in their last eleven games in all competitions

Vipers welcome skipper Milton Karisa ahead of the team’s visit to Maroons as they embark on the title defence following the exit from the Caf Champions League.

The champions haven’t played in the league since firing blanks against Wakiso Giants at home and return to action 4th on the log with 28 points, twelve behind leaders Villa but the Venoms have four games in hand.

Karisa has been out for some time missing a few games but returns with optimism and reveals the focus will now be on defending the league and then the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

I am so happy to be fully back after the injury I sustained and the entire focus is on tomorrow’s game,” he said to the club media.

“The general focus is on the league and the Uganda Cup, but we shall take it one game at ago.”

“We are going to do everything we can, give in absolute effort to see that we win the game.”

However, Alex Isabirye’s side still misses Yunus Sentamu, Marvin Youngman, Murushid Jjuuko and so is Livingstone Mulondo who got  a knock while on national duty.

In Maroons, they face a team currently in good form and they held KCCA to a 1-1 draw last week.

Head to Head

In the previous nine league meetings, Vipers are unbeaten against Maroons with 7 wins and two draws.
