2023 Ankole region USSSA Football Tourney:
- Final: Kabwohe Muslim S.S 1-0 Ryakasinga CHE
Kabwohe Muslim Secondary School defeated the record winners Ryakasinga CHE S.S 1-0 to lift the 2023 Ankole region Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) football title.
Francis Tukwasibwe scored the all-important goal for the victors at the Kabwohe grounds in Sheema district on Good Friday, April 7, 2023.
The well attended finale was also graced by the Member of Parliament for Bunyaruguru Hon. John Twesigye Ntamuhira, USSSA president Justus Mugisha, Western region officials, among other dignitaries.
Kabwohe Muslim S.S had eliminated St Augustine in the semi-finals whilst Ryakasinga CHE ejected Nganwa High school.
The winners received a trophy and gold medals.
The 2023 USSSA football national finals will be hosted in Fort Portal city with over 50 schools in competition for the coveted trophy.
