SC Villa Head Coach Jackson Magera and Maroons goalkeeper Simon Tamale were named the StarTimes Uganda Premier League Pilsner best for best coach and player of February/March respectively.

The SC Villa tactician beat URA’s Sam Timbe and Maroons’ Muhammad Ssenfuma to the accolade on Thursday at Kati Kati Resturant, Kampala after driving the Jogoos to the top of the league.

During the period, Magera ensured Villa went unbeaten only dropping points to Gaddafi in Jinja.

The sixteen time champions beat Onduparaka, Express, BUL and Busoga United in the said period.

The Jogoos have 40 points, three ahead of second-placed KCCA.

The best player accolade for the said period went to Maroons goalkeeper, Tamale.

Tamale was exceptional for Maroons between the sticks, conceding only once in the four matches they played in February and March.
