The 2023 FIM Africa Central Africa Motocross Championship (FIM CAC) returns to Uganda this weekend for the first round.
The action revs off on Saturday at the Motorsport Arena, Busiika with practice and Heat 1.
Easter Sunday will provide the climax as riders fight for their slots in the two heats.
The competition will be majorly between Uganda and Kenya.
However, Uganda will field over 50 riders offering a numbers advantage over rivals Kenya who made a trip with fewer riders.
With the overall battle almost sealed depending on numbers, tense action is anticipated as riders fight for individual honours in different categories.
Fresh from competing in the South Africa national round, Fortune Sentamu has promised to edge his Kenyan rivals in the MX2 class.
“Competing in South Africa has made me attain more experience on the track, like passing, jumping among others. It is these skills we are going to show our fans this Sunday in Busiika,” he told NBSTV in an interview.
The two rounds series will head to Kenya in December.
Uganda has won the FIM CAC six consecutive times.
