Vipers have gone twelve straight games without victory in open play in all competitions
Vipers will look to bounce back from a three-game winless streak when they take on Blacks Power at Kitende under floodlights.
The champions threw away a lead to draw with Maroons late in the game at Luzira on Wednesday and haven’t won a league match since beating BUL 2-1 and have managed just one victory in the last five games.
Alex Isabirye’s men have also not won a game in open play in all competitions for a record 12 games.
Blacks Power are fighting for their lives in the league and won’t be taken for granted as they even held KCCA to a 1-1 draw but if Vipers don’t beat them at Kitende, then questions will be asked on their ability to defend the title.
Milton Karisa grabbed a brace on his return from injury and will be the key man for the hosts who are still waiting on Yunus Sentamu fitness and Karim Ndugwa’s first goal.
The reverse fixture was decided a late Ashraf Mandela penalty at Lira.
