The next game saw Vipers draw 1-1 against Raja Casablanca before losing 2-0 to Horoya in the CAF Champions League.
Prior to Saturday’s game, Vipers had drawn 2-2 against Maroons in Luzira.
The first league game under floodlights at Kitende saw the Venoms win 2-0 with both goals coming in the first half.
Karim Ndugwa scored the opener in the 9th minute before Martin Kizza doubled the advantage at stroke of halftime.
The aforementioned two players were scoring third first goals in Vipers colours.
