Top performers at the I&m Golf Invitational Golf Tournament pose for a group photo at the 19th hole

Overview:

I&M Bank Managing Director Samuel Ntulume lauded the organizers (Katogo), Entebbe club and the golfing family for embracing this I&M Katogo invitational golf tournament.

The third quarter of the I&M Invitational Golf championship was successfully held at the par 71-Entebbe club on 30th September 2023.

A total of 146 golfers turned up for the day-long event whose mode of play was “Me-Too”.

Top performers:

Alexander Matsiko, playing off handicap 12 scored 65 stableford points to win group A.

Joseph Bogera (handicap 12) was first runners up with 67 points (on countback), ahead of Edgar Muzahura.

In group B, Herbert Olowo (handicap 20) scored 63 to win on countback ahead of Morgan Otile (handicap 18).

Stephen Paul Ojambo (handicap 16) scored 65 points to take second runners up slot.

For men group C, Henry Ssali (playing handicap 32) scored 61 points to topple the rest in this cluster.

Handicap 21 golfer Robert Mugabe was first runners up with 66 points as Timothy Okanya (handicap 27) was second runners up with 67 points.

All group winners won return air-tickets to Nairobi city.

Ladies:

Diana Nabukenya, playing under handicap 19 scored 66 points to win the ladies category.

Anne Njeri (handicap 36) was first runners up with 67 points, edging Patricia Nakasi (handicap 31) on countback.

Sidebets:

The longest drive contest among the ladies was won by Faith Namara (hole 1) and Maxi Byenkya (hole 7).

For the men, Kin Kariisa won on hole as Peter Magona shot longest on hole 7.

The golfers and other invited guests were treatment to a dinner and general happiness at the famous 19th hole, hosted by comedian Salvador.

The fourth and grand finale for I&M Invitational Golf tournament will come on the 9th December 2023.
