KCB Bank Uganda has backed the Mukula Rally Team to enable maximum preparation ahead of the first leg of the Mbarara City Rally.
KCB Bank Uganda, a longstanding supporter of sports and community-centric initiatives, has announced its sponsorship of Mike Mukula Jr in the upcoming first leg of 2024 Uganda National Rally Championship in the Mbarara City Rally that will happen at Booma grounds.
As the championship gears up for the Mbarara Rally between the 9th and 11th of February, KCB Bank Uganda has backed the Mukula Rally Team to enable maximum preparation ahead of the rally.

While speaking at the signoff, Diana Komukama Ssempebwa, the Head of Marketing and Communications at KCB Bank Uganda said; “We have always been committed to supporting sports and initiatives that uplift communities in Uganda and the East African region. Motorsport, with its thrilling and unifying nature, presents a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our communities.”
The Mbarara Rally marks the commencement of the 2024 Uganda National Rally Championship, setting the stage for the highly anticipated Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally due to take place in May this year.
The rallying community eagerly awaits the competition, with the Mbarara Rally often highlighting the eventual National Champion.

Micheal Mukula Jr, representing Mukula Rally Team (MRT), expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season and his gratitude to KCB Bank, stating, “I have confidence that we have done enough preparations. We believe based on our performance, experience, and achievements, we stand a fighting chance at a decent finish and will give it our best shot. We shall be cautious but definitely not slow.”
He added, “The KCB sponsorship means a lot to me, the team and shows the character of the Bank; their objectives and desire to support the community. They have shown that they are with me, through the ups and downs of to the Mukula Rally team, KCB Bank is not just a sponsor but family.”
