Professional boxer Kamada “Sure Fire” Ntege charged up the atmosphere during the crowning moment at the Fortebet Real Stars awards for January 2024 at Lazio restaurant in Kololo, Kampala.

Clad in a blackish suit, Ntege was also decorated with the East and Central Africa Boxing Union belt that he won as he knocked out Tanzanian Ally Amisi at Club Obligato in Kampala.

His charged up array of fans indeed turned up as they whistled and jubilated aloud.

As his fans chorused songs of praise and victory, Ntege who was accompanied by his manager Dr. Shaban Kwezi received the plaque and cash worth Ug.shs 500,000.

“This is really good” the middle weight professional boxer communicated in Luganda dialect.

“I feel honoured to be recognized as the best boxer in the month of January 2024. This gives me the momentum and urge to work harder so that I return here as a champion. I thank the organizers, Fortebet and sponsors” he added.

His manager Kwezi promised to continue offering all the necessary support as he plans ahead more victories in the subsequent bouts.

“I am happy for Ntege’s progress. The management team will continue to prepare him for more fights coming up both within the country and outside” Kwezi stated.

To win this accolade, Ntege came top over Isaac “Zebra” Ssenyange and Manilora Farahati.

Meanwhile, three other sports personalities were also rewarded plaques and Ug.Shs 500,000 each.

Weatherhead Hockey player Colline Batusa won in Hockey over Jordan Achaye and Lucky Akello.

Rugby female player Grace Nabaggala took the Rugby gong over Malcom Okello and Peace Lekuru.

In Table Tennis, world U-11 and U-13 gold medalist Joseph Sebatindira beat Jemimah Nakawala and Jonathan Ssenyonga to the top award.

Isaac Mukasa, the Executive Director of Real Stars Sports Agency hailed all the four different winners on the day and promised to continued organizing these awards.
