Hakim Kiwanuka scored a brace to add on goals from Charles Lwanga, Reagan Mpande and Peter Onzima as SC Villa annihilated Synergy to reach the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The Jogoos who left out the summoned national U-20 players on the bench had to wait until the last minute of the first half to break the deadlock through Lwanga.
Kiwanuka doubled the lead immediately after break and five minutes later, Onzima extended the lead with a good strike.
The former Proline winger then got his second in the 62nd minute before new signing Mpande got on the score sheet with a strike in the 75th minute.
Dusan Stojanovic gave opportunity to youngsters Andrew Otim and Nuwamanya Junior late on.
In Rubirizi, BUL scored with literally the last kick of the game through Lawrence Tezikya to win it against hosts Kyambura Masters while Soltilo Bright Stars also beat hosts Blacks Power 1-0 thanks to an early strike from Sam Ssenyonjo.
Busoga United also advanced to the round of 16 after winning a penalty shootout against Tubur FC.
