Paul Mucureezi celebrates a goal

Friday fixtures

  • Maroons vs BUL – Prisons Grounds, Luzira 4pm
  • KCCA vs Kitara – MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 7pm

KCCA coach Abdallah Mubiru has described the highly anticipated clash between his side and Kitara as important but not big.

The two sides have only met three times in the league with the Kasasiro edging the H2H with two wins and one defeat.

“It is not that a big game but a crucial game. Big games come with history but there is not much here,” said Mubiru.

“We want to win and continue improving our position on the table and that will be target.”

KCCA come into the game on the back of a 4-3 come from behind win against rivals Express and Mubiru hopes his boys picked lessons from the game.

Kitara won the reverse fixture 3-1 in Masindi at a time KCCA were under the stewardship of Sergio Traguil but will find a more confident opponent on Friday under the lights.

Paul Mucureezi and Brian Aheebwa are two former KCCA players that turn guns against their former bosses and will do all they can to win and keep leaders BUL who play Maroons earlier on in check.

Brian Ssenyondo’s men could move with in a point of BUL if they won at Lugogo and the latter falters in Luzira.

KCCA are on 23 points in ninth position and will exchange position with 8th placed Express FC if they win.
