Kitara FC moved top of the table in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday after overcoming Wakiso Giants FC at Masindi Municipal Stadium.
Denis Omedi scored the lone goal of the game to guide the Royals to maximum points and thus ascend to the summit.
The all important goal came in the 8th minute with his header from a corner kick beating goalkeeper Bashir Sekagya.
Kitara had striker Jude Ssemugabi rushed to hospital in an ambulance after sustaining an injury midway through the first half. He was replaced by Frank Iga.
Despite efforts by Wakiso Giants to search for an equalizer, the home sided defended resiliently to earn all three points.
Kitara now lead the table on 39 points, one above BUL FC who have a game in hand.
Wakiso Giants FC on the other hand stay in 12th place on 20 points.
