The Chief Justice of Uganda His Lordship Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny Dollo has the hope that Uganda’s sports will achieve self-sustainability.

 

With no time frame attached, the Chief Justice who is also the patron of NamBlazers Basketball Club is quick to assert that this self-sustainability will come with a strong condition – improved structural organization.

 

“Ugandan sports will attain self-sustainability with the improved structural organization of clubs, federations and associations. This has to be considered as quickly as possible” His Lordship Dollo hinted.

His Lordship Dollo made the remarks as he officiated at the renewal of Britam Insurance with NamBlazers in Kampala on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

 

The Insurance gurus offered a sponsorship package for the Namuwongo based entity worthy Ug.Shs 20,000,000 with two new sets of uniforms.

 

The offer announcement is huge boost coming to the city derby against City Oilers this Friday.

 

The event was also graced a wide range of officials from the sponsors and the club, reflecting a shared commitment to excellence and community service as well as youth empowerment.

Ronald Kasolo (general manager, Britam Asset), Innocent Ocakacon (Samang Solutions Limited), George Nkya (president NamBlazers), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Daniel Muttu and coach Steve Escodata all attended.

The big rivalry between NamBlazers and City Oilers returns on Friday, 1st March 2024 as the two clubs lock horns at Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala city.
