The TotalEnergies Caf Champions League quarter final line up is now complete with Tanzania the most dominant nation with two clubs awaiting the draw.

Simba joined local rivals Young Africans who qualified for the last eight last week.

The Msimbazi beat Janweng Galaxy 6-0, a side that eliminated Ugandan side Vipers in the early stages with goals from Saidi Ntibazonkiza, Pape Omar Jobe, Kibu Denis, Clatous Chama, Ladaki Chasami and Fabrice Ngoma.

ASEC Mimosas top the group with 12 points, followed by Simba with 9, and sees the exit of Wydad and Galaxy. 

Other teams in the last eight are South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, home to Ugandan legend Denis Onyango, TP Mazembe of DR Congo, Tunisia’s Esperance, holders Al Ahly of Egypt and Angola’s Petro Atletico.

The date draw for the last eight will be announced in the coming days.
