Namuwongo Blazers secured a huge 82-53 victory against Livingstone in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Arena on Sunday evening.

It was the second victory for the Blazers this weekend after earlier ending the City Oilers’ unbeaten streak on Friday.

The Blazers secured the sixth victory in the seven games played after losing once in the game they fell to Our Saviour basketball club.

While the newly promoted side, Livingstone has so far faced a rough journey in the top tier losing four of the six games played.

Blazers opened up an 11-point lead at the end of the first stanza before they doubled the advantage at halftime (42-21).

After the long break, Livingstone improved their defence limiting the Blazers to only 16 points however at the end of the third period they were trailing by 24 points.

Bismarck Okot Omoya sealed the game with a three-point jump shot for Livingstone as the Blazers walked away with a 29-point victory.

The Blazers’ victory was hugely commanded by the thrilling performance of the players that came from the bench as they collected 52 points while Livingstone got only 20 from the same channel.

Elly Okello topped the Blazers’ scoring chart with 16 points, Guddi Nasser and Chuol Nyuot added 12 and 11 points respectively.

Omoya and Oscar Byomuhangi scored 10 points each as Livingstone fought to the last dot.
