FUFA Big League outfit Police FC stunned Soltilo Brights Stars FC on Monday as the two teams faced off at Kavumba Recreation Centre.
In the round of 16 game, the Cops ran riot, defeating Soltilo Brights Stars FC 4-0 to reach the quarterfinals of this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Isaac Ogwang bagged a brace while Herman Wasswa and Steven Kabuye added a goal each for the Cops.
Ogwang fired Police FC into an early lead, scoring in the 5th minute before getting his second of the day in the 65th minute.
Wasswa came off the bench to replace Ogwang in the 83rd minute and got onto the score sheet four minutes later.
Kabuye put the icing on the cake with a stoppage time penalty that he calmly converted.
Police FC joins BUL FC, Pajule Lions FC and Kitara FC as the teams that have already booked their slots at the quarterfinal stage.
