Action from Villa vs Express last season

Overview:

With defenders Gavin Kizito and Arnold Odong suspended, Villa will miss up to six players for the clash against rivals Express on Saturday

The highly anticipated league clash between SC Villa and Express will go on as planned after the Jogoos decided to play minus their four players who are with the Uganda Hippos at the All-Africa Games.

The sixteen-time champions had stuck with the Fufa competitions regulation that allows clubs with three or more players on the national teams to have their league fixtures rescheduled.

Villa has already missed two fixtures against Vipers and BUL but have now decided to have their games go on starting this Saturday at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku according to reliable sources.

They will have to do without star player Patrick Jonah Kakande, Cyrus Kibande who had become a pillar at centre back as well as attacking midfielders Abasi Kyeyune and Hakim Mutebi.

Against the Red Eagles, Villa will also miss suspended Gavin Kizito and Arnold Odong who accumulated three bookings.

They did win the reverse fixture last year coming from a goal down to beat the seven-time champions.

The two sides are separated by a single point with Villa on 30 points from 17 games while Express have 29 in two more games.
