Uganda’s female Judo player Zubeda Talikaza is in action on Wednesday, 13th March 2024 at the Ga-Mashie Hall in Accra, Ghana.
Talikaza will face Fatou from Senegal in one of the bouts lined up on the day.
“I am ready for the bout against my opponent from Senegal. I have prepared well and set to rumble” Talikaza stated.
Uganda’s Judo team also has Nakajima Akira, a player with Japanese descent.
The two players are managed by head coach Aron Achiko as Uganda seeks for more medals at the championship.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s Steven Ojede will be in action during the weightlifting event on Wednesday.
Ojede will compete in the 96 kg category alongside five other weightlifters as Abdul Salim Adjei Adjetey (Ghana), Bile Emany Tanzey (Democratic Republic of Congo), Desmond Akano (Nigeria), Karim Ibrahim Ibrahim Aly Abokahla (Egypt) and Algerian Faris Touairi.
Uganda has 7 medals won so far from Badminton (3), Weightlifting (3) and Swimming (1).
