KCCA will aim to break the jinx and finally pick a victory at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende when they take on Vipers in the Uganda Premier League on Friday, March 15.
However, as they plan for the execution to achieve the above, they will miss the services of Muhammad Shaban who has been so instrumental for the club this season.
In the pre-match press conference held at MTN Omondi Stadium today, KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru made it clear that he is not bothered by the forward’s absence ahead of the highly anticipated game.
“Yes Shaban (Muhammad) will not be part of tomorrow’s squad but there are able replacements that have been prepared and we trust them to do the job,” Mubiru stated.
“I am a believer and I know God has a reason as to why this is happening like this. It was God’s choice that Shaban will not be part of this game and we cannot lament because he is not around,” he added.
“The team has a lot of options and I am so strong and relaxed that whoever is given the chance will do a great job. Yes, we shall miss him (Shaban) because he is a very good player but cannot lament about that.”
