The Uganda national boxing team is ready to get to action at the 13th African Games in Accra city, Ghana.

On Wednesday, the draws for were held for the entire boxing crew ahead of the official start on Friday afternoon.

Innocent Tumusiime, playing in the 48 kg category will face off against Lesotho’s Kolobe Retselosotsoe.

In the light middle (71 kg), Muzamiru Semuddu faces Togolese opponent Akoussan.

Erina Namutebi takes on Nigerian Ogunsemlore in the light category (60 kgs).

Light-welter (63.5 kg) has Innocent Amoko against Seychelles’ Jovan Bouzin.

For the Feather weight (57 kg), Sharua Ndagire will square up against Nigeria’s Joy Ojo.

Kassim Murungi battles Timothy Williams from Liberia in the Feather weight (57 kg).

Owen Kibira will face off against Equatorial Guinea’s Nze in the welter weight (67 kgs).

These will be the round of 16 contests as the fighters compete for quarter final berths.
