Elia Kiyemba scored four as St Mary’s Kitende secured a 10-0 victory against Christ The King in the ongoing USSSA Zonal Games on Tuesday.
Christ The King came into this encounter after beating hosts Kings Way High thanks to Lubo Deng’s well curled free kick.
The victory gave them energy and they started off with great energy going man to man to try and stop Kitende’s red-hot attack.
Kiyemba broke the deadlock in the fifth minute after nodding home Olimi Nyarwa’s well-weighed cross into the top corner.
Five minutes later, Kiyemba doubled Kitende’s lead with a simple tap in on the near pole with yet another connection with Olimi.
Midfielder Vincent Ayebale found the back of the net in the 13th minute with a rebound after Christ The King’s custodian Richard Wanzusi earlier blocked Abubakari Walusimbi’s effort.
Santos Agok scored Kitende’s fourth goal in the 18th minute with a simple finish thanks to Kiyemba’s cut back in the area.
Before the break, Kiyemba scored twice in similar fashion proving a lethal poacher he is after replacing Denis Kisiriko who didn’t play the second game since he was fasting.
Ten minutes into the second stanza, Ajok netted Kitende’s seventh after leaving Christ The King’s backline on the floor.
Nyarwa who had made four assists earlier finally shot the ball into the back of the net after being set up by Ajok.
Second half substitute, Fahad Jjumbe came off the bench to score twice as Kitende sealed a 10-goal victory after a thrilling performance.
Kitende will take a break on Wednesday before they return on Thursday to conclude the group business.
