Ugandan Athletes and Teams will continue to pursue for glory as the African Games draw closer to the end.
Today presents another opportunity for Ugandans to hunt for more medals.
Peruth Chemutai, Haron Adoli and Tom Dradriga all have chance to bring medals home.
In boxing, Innocent Tumusiime and Kassim Murungi have the chance to improve their medals to either silver or gold by winning their respective semifinal bouts.

Athletics – University of Ghana Stadium
Women’s Javelin Throw Final – 7:05PM EAT
Joyce Josephine Lalam will be eyeing the medal bracket but will have to compete against eight other people.
Men’s 400m Final – 7:50PM EAT
Haron Adoli qualified for the finals on Tuesday with a time of 49.95.
Women’s 3000m Steeplechase Final – 8:05PM EAT
Another medal hopeful for Uganda, Peruth Chemutai hits the track today seeking to bag gold.
She will however have to beat off fierce competition from Ethiopian and Kenyan athletes.
Ethiopia has Sembo Almayew, Tefera Lomi Muleta and Ayana Gesese Firehiwot while Kenya’s legion comprises of Purity Kirui, Caren Chebet and Beatrice Chepkoech.
Men’s 800m Final – 8:25PM EAT
Tom Dradiga did well in the heats and semifinals. He will be hoping to keep the same momentum in the final today.
Basketball 3X3 – Legon Netball Court
Uganda Men’s Team had a good start, winning the opening two games in Pool C on Monday. They defeated Togo (21-16) and Democratic Republic of Congo (21-17).
They will be hoping to end the Group with maximum points as they take on Burkina Faso at 7:40PM EAT.
The Women’s Team will also be in action today taking on Benin at 8:00PM EAT.
Boxing – Bukom Boxing Arena
Two Ugandan pugilists will be eyeing for a slot in the final.
In the Men’s 48kg category, Innocent Tumusiime will be up against Livens Tulembekwa Zola from Democratic Republic of Congo at 11:15PM EAT.
Kassim Murungi will take to the ring at 12:00AM EAT in the men’s 57kg semifinals against Rugoberto Armando Sigauque.
Men’s Cricket – Achimota Cricket Oval
Uganda vs South Africa – 12:30PM EAT
The Cricket Cranes have so far had a perfect start and already looking overwhelming favourites.
They will complete group business today by facing South Africa who must win to progress to the semifinals.
In the first two games, Uganda eased past Kenya and hosts Ghana.
Rugby – University of Ghana Rugby Stadium
Men’s Category
Uganda Men’s 7s team had a field day on the opening day, obliterating Zimbabwe and Tunisia.
Today, they have two games, starting with Burkina Faso at 1:28PM EAT and hosts Ghana at 3:50PM EAT.
Women’s Category
The Women’s Competition starts today and Uganda will have to games to play.
The first game will be up against Tunisia at 12:22PM EAT before taking on Ghana at 2:30PM EAT.
