Day two of the ongoing Zonal games offered St Mary’s Kitende the biggest challenge as they were limited to only six goals in two games.

St Mary’s Kitende is arguably the best football school in the Kitende Zone and that was was evident when they scored 23 goals in the day one of the Zonal games.
However, day two of the ongoing Zonal games offered them the biggest challenge as they were limited to only six goals in two games.
Despite Santos Agok’s early goal against Bishop Mazolidi Kitende strugled to double their lead as the opponent staged a brilliant high line at the back.
Olimi Nyarwa’s individual brilliance came to play as Kitende finally extended their lead before the Congolese forward Claude sealed the victory.

In their second game, Kitende faced the hosts Kingsway High and the game was played in-front of a loud crowd that was against the the former.
The skipper Abubakari Walusimbi silenced the crowd with a yet another brilliant finish hence receiving an applause from the neutrals.
Kingsway came close to pulling back one through Obed Ahishakiye but Kitende’s backline was quick to curb the danger.
Moments later, Eria Kiyemba doubled the lead before Steven Yiga put the icing on the cake with a powerful left footed strike.
Shortly after the final while Kitende’s head coach Daniel Male revealed that he is still trying out different things with different players before he concludes on his final starting eleven.
“I am happy with the way the boys are playing. Yes I know we can score more and we shall stress that during our training sessions,” he stated.
“Our target to break the jinx and win the district final (having lost to Buddo SS last year). We have the capacity and we need to work hard so that we achieve it,” he added.
“I am still trying out different things with different players as we scan through on who will make it to the final starting lineup. It’s the start of the campaign and every player has to fight to make it to the final group.”
Kitende has sofar played four games and have won all scoring 29 goals and conceding none.
They will be back to action tomorrow as they play Kajjansi Progressive in their last group game.
On the other hand, Kajjansi Progressive have so-far played four games, won three and shared spoils with Kingsway High.
