The Rakai district champions St Benard's SS Maanya will be joined by four other schools to represent the district at the Greater Masaka regionals due in Kalangala. Greater Masaka zone has schools from the districts of Masaka city, Rakai, Lyantonde, Ssembabule, Lwengo, Kyotera, Bukomansimbi, Kalungu and Kalangala.

2024 USSSA Football Championship (Rakai District):

  • Final: St. Benard’s SS Maanya 1-0 Kifamba Comprehensive

Saint Benard’s Secondary School Maanya clinched the 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association football title in Rakai District.

Nasifu Mulondo’s priceless free-kick won the day for St. Benard’s SS Maanya with a 1-0 triumph in the final against Kifamba Comprehensive School.

St. Benard’s SS Maanya had won their semi-final contest 3-1 over Kakabajjo.

Mulondo notched a brace and the other goal by Amis Isabirye for St. Benard’s SS Maanya over Kakabajjo.

Pascal Wasswa, Ibrahim Nsamba and Ronald Musanje scored for St. Benard’s SS Maanya during the quarters final in their 3-0 win over Kibaale S.S.

The other four schools are; Kiganda S.S, Kakabagyo S.S, St. Mathias S.S – Mbuye and St. Aloysius S.S lwamagwa.

Greater Masaka zone has schools from the districts of Masaka city, Rakai, Lyantonde, Ssembabule, Lwengo, Kyotera, Bukomansimbi, Kalungu and Kalangala.
