Overview:
The NCBA Monthly Mug provides an avenue for club members to engage in friendly competition, refine their skills, and foster camaraderie within the club.
It was the NCBA Monthly Mug challenge (for March 2024) at the nine-hole MaryLouise Simkins Memorial Golf Club in Namulonge, Wakiso district.
Allan Akira, Charity Atuhaire and Joram Tumwine shone brightest among the men, female and seniors respective clusters.
Playing off handicap index 9, Akira scored 71 net to win on count-back over Mark Rubatsimbira.
Paul Kalemba (handicap 3) was second runners up with 72 net (countback).
Atuhaire, a handicap female golfer on 15 scored 74 net, winning the ladies category over Faith Namara (78) and Patricia Nakasai (80).
Namara is handicap 9 whilst Nakasi is currently handicap 19.
Handicap 18 senior golfer Tumwine scored 69 to topple the rest in the 55 years plus cluster.

Thomas Niwamara, handicap 17 won group B men with 64 net as Emmanuel Yeka (handicap 21) amassed 65 net to topple the rest in group C.
This recurring event showcases individual stroke play, where golfers compete against each other to achieve the lowest score over 18 holes.
The NCBA Monthly Mug provides an avenue for club members to engage in friendly competition, refine their skills, and foster camaraderie within the club.
