Schools await enticing match-ups at the round of 32 | 2024 USSSA Football

2024 USSSA Boys’ Football Championship

• 1st May – Round of 32

• Host: Masaka Secondary School, Masaka City

As the rest of the world celebrates the International Labour Day on 1st May 2024, Uganda’s top footballing schools shall be engaged in the round of 32 stage at the national championships.

This is the first time ever in the history of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) boys’ football competition that the round of 32 stage will be played.

In some of the titanic and explosively anticipated duels will be the contest between two former winners Jinja SS and Kibuli SS at the Kitovu 1 playground (2 PM).

Home side St Charles Lwanga Kasasa will battle the defending champions St Mary’s Kitende at the Masaka Recreational Stadium during the early morning contest (9 am).

The all Masaka city affair between St Henry’s Kitovu College (SHACK) and Masaka SS at the Recreation during the mid-morning time (11 am) will definitely be the talk of the town for the rest of the championship.

In other round of 32 matches, high flying Amus College will square up against Paidha SS at the Muteesa playground (2 PM) whilst former winners Buddo SS shall play Bukedea Comprehensive School at Kitovu 1 playground.

This stage is for the big boys and we shall witness some good football. We need to work extra hard, be clinical infront of goal and defend well at all times.

The successful 16 schools will progress to the pre-quarter final stage due on Thursday, 2nd May 2024.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and grand finale will follow suit to decide the victor.

Also, this championship is to determine the four schools that will represent Uganda at the 2024 FEASSSA Games due to be held in Uganda (Bukedea region).

This championship is organized by the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA).
