The crowning ceremony for Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards for April 2024 was held on Tuesday, 7th May 2024 at the offices of Jude Colour Solutions in Kampala.
Personalities in boxing, football and rugby were recognized at this ceremony with plaques and cash, each winner taking home Ug.Shs 500,000.
Boxer Farahat Manirola, KCCA football club forward Muhammad Shaban and Platinum Credit Heathens Rugby club Michael Wokorach were all rewarded.
Manirola edged Harold Mukuye and Henry “Stopper” Kasujja to win the boxing accolade.
“I am very happy for winning this accolade. It gives me joy to be recognized and this is good motivation” Manirola stated.
KCCA striker Shaban, scorer of four goals in April 2024 overcame stiff competition from Kitara football club winger Paul Mucureezi and She Mak female player Sharon Namatovu.
“I am humbled by this award” the dread-locked Shaban remarked. “This award gives me the courage and zeal to work even harder. Strikers are judged by the goals scored. I want to keep scoring” Shaban added.
Rugby veteran Michael Wokorach was considered ahead of Yasin Wasswa and Emily Lekuru.
“I remember winning such an award way back in 2018 when these awards were starting. Returning on the podium as a winner is good enough” Wokorach hinted.
Real Stars Agency managing director Isaac Mukasa, Fortebet’s Resty Namugema Mbatidde and officials from Jude Colour Solutions led by Henry Zzimbe all graced this well attended ceremony.
The next rewarding ceremony will happen in June 2025, to recognize the best personalities from the month of May.
