SC Villa kept themselves within a point of table summit after a 2-0 win over struggling UPDF at Bombo.
Patrick Kakande and Hakim Kiwanuka scored in either half to give the Jogoos victory that put them on 51 points, one behind BUL who beat Gaddafi 1-0 at Njeru.
This was SC Villa’s second win on the bounce after their come from behind victory over Wakiso Giants earlier in the week.
Defeat leaves the Bombo army side in the drop zone with 21 points, four adrift of safety with only six points to fight for.
Villa’s next two games will see them host URA and visit NEC while UPDF host Maroons and visit Wakiso Giants in their last two matches respectively.
