The ceremony was held at Kings Park, their home ground, after the final league match with Ewes. Black Pearls beat Ewes by 60-12 points.

Black Pearls duo of Emilly Lekuru and Charlotte Mudoola won the season’s top try scorer and golden boot awards.

Lekuru scored a record-breaking sixty-nine tries. This is the highest tally that has ever been achieved in Ugandan rugby for both men and women.

However, in a surprising twist, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award went to Nile Rapids’ Minat Namono.

This marks the conclusion of the women’s local XVs season. The next tournament will be the national 7s series.
