This year's Buganda Masaza football tournament is ear-marked to kick-off in late June 2024.
2024 Buganda Masaza Football Cup:
Groups:
- Bulange: Bulemeezi, Buddu, Kyadondo, Buluuli, Butambala, Bugerere
- Muganzirwazza: Gomba, Buweekula, Ssingo, Kyaggwe, Mawogola, Kooki
- Masengere: Mawokota, Buvuma, Kabula, Busujju, Ssese, Busiro
The 2024 Buganda Masaza football championship groups were confirmed on Wednesday, 29th May at Bulange, Mengo in Kampala.
Two Lake Victoria-based island teams Buvuma and Ssese were drawn in the same group, Masengere.
The other teams in the six-team group tournament are three-time winners Mawokota, 2022 champions Busiro, Kabula and Busujju.
Other Groups:
Defending champions of the tournament Bulemeezi are in the same group (Bulange) as Buddu, Kyadondo, Buluuli, Butambala and Bugerere.
Five-time champions Gomba are in the same pool as Buweekula, Ssingo, Kyaggwe, Mawogola and Kooki in Muganzirwazza Group.
The tournament is earmarked to kick-off in late June 2024.
Sulaiman Ssejjengo, the chairperson of the Masaza Cup organizing committee also convened a successful meeting for team officials as they passed the new rules and regulations for the tournament.
