Uganda Frisbee team members being officially flagged off at the National Council of Sports premises in Lugogo, Kampala

Two Uganda Ultimate Frisbee clubs have been officially flagged off to Kenya for the fifth edition of the Lake Victoria Grass Ultimate Frisbee Tournament.

Impala Frisbee Club and Fort Portal Frisbee Club are the two representatives for Uganda.

The flag-off was executed by the assistant general secretary of the National Council of Sports (NCS) David Semakula Katende on Friday, June 7, 2024.

This Tri-Nations Ultimate Frisbee championship will have clubs from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania vying for the East African club title.

The tournament will commence on the Saturday, 8th June and climax by Sunday, 9th June 2024 in Kenya’s Western city of Kisumu.

“You are our sports ambassador. Represent Uganda well” Katende appealed as he handled over the treasured Black-Yellow-Red national flag.

The team is expected to travel by road and will reach a few hours before kick-off.
