Overview:
Hajji Abdul Lukooya Ssekabira, a certified safety and security expert by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) was the main facilitator. In a bid to secure a tranquil 2024 Buganda Masaza football championship, the Kingdom organized a successful safety and security workshop.
This workshop lured as many as fifty (50) participants from either gender intended to call for order on the different fields of play prior to, during and after matches.
Participants were engaged in both theory and practical sessions at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium in Kabowa.

Long serving vastly experienced chairperson Hajji Sulaiman Ssejjengo who missed the official opening ceremony of the tournament due to sickness was part of the officials who graced the pass-out at Wankulukuku stadium.
The stewards were equipped with basic and advanced skills of handling protocol, spectators and other persons who grace varying matches.






These stewards will be deployed per every playground (stadium) to ensure the smooth transition of the matches at the different venues.
Bulemeezi is the defending champion of this tournament that bars big league, top flight and national team players.
Match day one commenced with Buluuli’s 1-0 win on the road over Bulemeezi at the Kosovo playground in Kasana, Luweero on Saturday, 22nd June 2024.
Robert Ssewanyana scored the all-important goal of the game in the opening stanza of the match also watched by the Katikiro Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga.
More games for match day one will be played this weekend of 29th and 30th June 2024.
On Saturday, 29th June 2024, there will be two matches; Butambala against Buddu at Kibibi SS playground with Buvuma taking on Mawokota at the Magyo playground.
During the subsquent day, Kyadondo shall take on Bugerere (Hormisdallen School playground), Gomba squares up Kyaggwe (Kabulasoke), Buweekula versus Ssingo (Mubende NTC), Mawogola against Kooki (Mawogola ssaza ground) , Kabula against Ssese (Bakijuulula) and 2022 champions Busiro will tussle it with Busujju at the Ssentema playground.
