The battle between two Island counties Ssese and Buvuma in the 2024 Buganda Masaza football championship at Lutoboka playground ended all square, at one goal apiece on Saturday, 6th July.

The opening stanza of this game produced no goal per side during the contest officiated by Julius Kasibante as center referee.

Muhammad Sabil gave Ssese the lead as the second half resumed. The joy was however short-lived with the equalizer from Brian Henry Katamba of Buvuma.

This result means both Ssese and Buvuma are yet to register any victory after match day two.

Ssese fell 0-1 at Kabula on the opening match day whilst Buvuma held three time winners Mawokota to a non-scoring draw in Magyo.

As Masengere group stands, Busujju and Kabula jointly lead with three points apiece.

Buvuma has earned two points, Mawokota and Ssese (one point each) as Busiro is yet to collect any point.

Match day two continues on Sunday, 7th July 2024 with a number of matches on the card.

Mawokota entertains a wounded side Busiro at the Buwama playground.

Busujjju welcomes Kabula at the Kakindu playground along Mityana road, Buddu hosts Kyaddondo at the Kitovu Arena while Bugerere will square up against Bulemeezi at the Ntenjeru playground.

Meanwhile, 2011 winners Buluuli will play host to Butambala at the Kakooge playground, Hakim Nsibambi’s Kooki takes on Buwekula at the Rakai PTC playground.

Kyaggwe plays Mawogola at the Mukono Bishops playground whilst Simon Peter Mugerwa’s Ssingo will take on Frank Mulindwa’ Gomba at the Mityana Ssaza grounds.
