Lubiri Secondary School’s 11-07 victory over Gombe has been one of the highlights for the boys’ docket so far.
The game drew a record crowd with non-stop action moments as the fans cheered aloud every move.
Kasimiri Ojwang, goalkeeper Juma Abdallah as well as the Rogers entity of Owori and Kawooya were influential for Lubiri Secondary School who are coached by Muhammed Kisitu.
“We played a solid game and I am happy the played respected the instructions to the dot” Kisitu revealed after the game.
Lubiri Secondary School had fallen 00-10 to favourites Kawanda SS, having also overcame Sacred Heart SS 19-05 and won convincingly 30-13 over Bishop Comboni in other group D contests.
His counterpart Aziz Yakoub of Gombe SS looks forward the remaining matches of pool D to salvage pride.
On Sunday, 14th July 2024, handball action continues for either gender as the respective school target qualification to the knockout round.
