The chairman’s cup is an annual championship on the calendar of Entebbe club.

Entebbe club continued to prove its might as an all-inclusive sports hub with the latest Chairman’s tournament, proudly bank rolled by Hima Cement.

Seven of sports disciplines were played during a championship in honour of the current chairman Eng. Jacob Byamukama.

Golf was the main sport on the menu with the other outdoor discipline being Tennis.

Five indoor sports items; Scrabble, Chess, Darts, Pool and Table Tennis were also held.

Top performers:

Picole Lukyamuzi and Ruth Mugisha were the overall male and female golfers.

Lukyamuzi scored 69 nett whilst Mugisha tallied 75 nett to take home the overall gongs.

Edith Wamalwa championed Tennis (Lawn).

Indoor sports:

Samson Agamile reigned supreme in Table Tennis. Milton Edimu played second fiddle.

The chairman Eng. Jacob Byamukama was outstanding in Darts as Denis Oola came second.

Meanwhile, Philip Kazibwe won chess with Stephen Ojambo coming second.

Richard Mugisha took the Scramble bragging rights ahead of second placed Michael Monnie.

Milton Edimu won the pool championship. Collins Aritua was second placed.

Golfers and other guests were hosted at the famous 19th hole with dining, feasting and merry-making taking over.

The outstanding performers on the day were rewarded with trophies and plaques.
