Close to two decades, Mbale Heroes Football Club was not featuring in the top tier division of Uganda’s top flight division in the pyramid of the country’s football.

At the apex of the 2023-2024 season in the betPawa Big League, Mbale Heroes Football Club got promoted back to the top division.

In a bid to raise funds to kick-start the season in the Star Times Uganda Premier League, the club has planned a meg fundraising dinner at Hotel Africana in Kampala.

This fundraiser will take place on Friday, 16th August 2024 commencing at 5 PM until mid-night.

The organizers have dubbed this evening as a “Football Legends’ night: Celebrating Our Heroes”.

This will be an evening of elegance, honor and community spirit.

Indeed, community spirit since Mbale Heroes Football Club remains one of the existing vibrant entities in the country with a soccer-mad community of fans, supporters, well-wishers and a rich history to boast of.

Each seat will go for Ug.Shs 200,000 with over Ug.Shs 200,000,000 and above as the ultimate target.

Behinds the scenes, several preparations are being undertaken to make this fundraising dinner a success and eventful.

Personalities from the business world, politicians, professionals and the ordinary persons with an attachment to Mbale Heroes and sheer love for football development are henceforth called upon to be part.

At the moment, Mbale Heroes Football Club top management is beefing reinforcing their technical and playing dockets in prior to the 2024-2025 season.

Among the new players on board include Tonny Kiberu, Umar Kyebatala, Sula Mpanga, Enock Katamba and Sulaiman Ssesaazi.
